Sport Training

Post image for How To Imitate the Greatest Athletes of All Time

Probably the best way to practice something is by imitating it over and over again until it becomes natural to you. Once you’ve learned it, you can add your own personal touch and customize it to your needs.

The same goes in learning how to jump higher in basketball. When you watch athletes dunk ball after the other, you will be surprised to find out that you will later on move according to how they do it. Here are some tips on where you could find the best athletes to imitate to improve your vertical jump.

  1. YouTube – This website holds millions of videos uploaded daily by the millions of users around the globe. Virtually anything you type in the search box, from “best vertical jumpers” to “workouts to increase vertical jump” would yield relevant information which you can watch and imitate later on.
  2. Cable channels – A lot of cable channels are dedicated to sports and little did you know that most physical sports require great vertical jumps. Here, you would see athletes from different fields and find out how each player powers up their jump depending on the situation.
  3. Basketball matches – Of course, where else could you learn the most information than watching the game itself. This could be a local match in the court in your park (where, by the way, most great NBA players hail from) and watch as athletes shoot hoops. This could also be a professional match, either watching it on television or live.

If you notice, all these resources actually allow you to see people doing something in action. Sure, a lot of website articles would be able to give you written information on how to improve your vertical jump but nothing beats seeing it in action and imitating it live from the source.
